Bonus Episode: Transforming pain into an extraordinary life
Friday Nov 05, 2021

Welcome back to another episode of the #MoneyMagic podcast.
Today I welcome Shazia Imam to the show to have a conversation about her life journey and how she grew from desiring a typical standard life of marriage, kids, and a white picket fence to breaking through to her true self.
Shazia is the daughter of two loving Indian parents, born and raised in the U.S. but brought up with traditional Indian values.
Growing up, Shazia followed a life path by the book; she excelled in school, got into a good university, graduated as an Engineer, got married, and had a beautiful son.
Yet, after a series of unfortunate events, Shazia lost it all - her son passed on and her husband left soon after. Shazia found herself alone for the first time, feeling like an empty vessel with suicidal ideation. But flowers always grow from the ashes.
During her most major life-altering events, Shazia discovered the power within herself, the power of connection, collaboration, and natural power – all geared towards femininity.
This resurgence of self gave her the inspiration she needed to come into her power and dive into the paradigm of the feminine. From this, her podcast Feminine and Fulfilled was born.
Shazia knew that she wanted to help women thrive, but she couldn’t do it with a podcast alone; she needed the skill to back it up. So, she took a chance and invested US$14,000 in a leadership retreat.
Having never spent this amount of money on herself, Shazia felt guilty but determined, and now being on the other side of that, Shazia discovered that life-changing events like these go beyond price.
Today Shazia is a successful life coach and podcaster; her vision to help women is laser-focused, and her relationship with the divine is unmatched!

Bonus Episode: Teaching bridgewalkers to build visionary businesses
Friday Oct 29, 2021
Friday Oct 29, 2021
Welcome back to another episode of the #MoneyMagic podcast. Today I am joined by Manasi Kakade to discuss her work as a practical spiritual mentor for Bridgewalker visionaries. Bridgewalkers are analytical and critical thinkers that are fascinated by spirituality and are on this planet for a specific purpose.
Bridgewalkers are born to assist the ascension of our planet by collectively ushering in new social systems and structures rooted in love, kindness and equality of all souls.
Manasi graduated from university with an MBA and trained as an engineer. She leveraged her skills to teach women how to negotiate their salaries, helping them gain an additional 40% in some cases.
Yet, all the potential she could see in others, she was unable to see in herself. It wasn’t until her own client pointed out that her prices did not match what she should be charging, what her actual worth was. It was then that Manasi realized that her money mindset was not aligned.
Her husband, for example, viewed money as something to play with and a lot to come to you. He was able to manifest money with ease by asking for increased expenses because with higher expenses comes higher salaries and the ability to enjoy your money.
Manasi had lived her whole life afraid of spending money, she would hoard it, and as a result, money had control over her and not the other way around.
Now, as a seasoned spiritual mentor and expert in money mindset, Manasi is able to teach her students how to coexist with both the physical and spiritual necessities that will allow them to ascend with grace into their next chapter in life!
We also cover the chakra system and Manasi shares with podcast listeners how to get access to her free chakra course.

One becomes an entrepreneur by doing, and often by doing the uncomfortable and scary ish like selling, asking people who owe you money to pay you, charging the prices you want, hiring others...
That uncomfortable stuff, is where the inner work makes the biggest difference, when we do the work, it gets easier to take action consistently and scale our businesses.

Episode 41: Unblocking the flow of money to create ease & flow
Thursday Oct 21, 2021
Thursday Oct 21, 2021
In this week’s podcast, I sit down to talk to Zandile Mazwayi, a voice-over artist and #MoneyMagic student, who defines herself as a manifestor of note because of how fast she is birthing things.
She explains that she is on this earth to be about ease and flow, the kind of ease and flow that her ancestors (whose names she knows) never got an opportunity to live and embody.
Zandile shares a story about how, when she was 6 months old, her great grandmother requested her white towel nappy just before she drew her last breath and how she passed on with this nappy in her hand. In later years, Zandile realized that this was her grandmother’s towel of surrender from all the hardship and struggle.
So she is about the ease and flow that that white flag represents.
Zandile starts off the interview by sharing how when she started doing the inner work, she discovered herself, and how that freaked her out and she started to run away from herself and ran away from me interviewing her.
She explains how she realized that when she keeps thinking she will only “be good enough when…” she robs herself of celebration and the opportunity to share what she has learned with those around her, which then keeps all of us stuck.
Zandile started to understand that there was more to money than just budgeting when she started working and always found herself without money. She knew there was something wrong, but she didn’t know how to fix it.
Zanadile shares how since starting the #MoneyMagic course, she’s been able to unblock the flow of money in her life, increase her income, increase savings and pay off her car and also just sit with money in her bank account.
This is another jam-packed episode.

Episode 40: How different currencies influence our relationship with money
Thursday Oct 14, 2021
Thursday Oct 14, 2021
In this week’s podcast I am interviewing another #MoneyMagic student, Lerato Molisana, who is from Lesotho but is currently doing her MFA in creative writing in Arizona, USA.
Lerato joined the course after having a money exploration coaching session with me; she shares her experience of that session and how she started to understand why nothing was coming together when it came to making money.
In this podcast, we talk about how we often fracture our souls in order to survive the world and the importance of aligning your work or career with your soul’s mission and how going against our soul calling affects our emotional and mental state.
We instantly go deep in this podcast - Lerato shares how her relationship with money is changing by living in the US and using a different currency - the dollar.
Lerato share’s how she feels that the energy of money is more intense in the US vs the energy of money in South Africa and Lesotho and how she feels she can do more with the same amount of money in the USA than she could back home.
We explore how our relationship with money is influenced by the currency we use in a country and how currencies are influenced by the energies of the people who deal in that currency and how that influences how we perceive the buying power of money in every country.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did recording it.

Episode 39: Activating p***y magic & talking about money in marriage
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Childbearing is one of the most magical things that can happen to a human body, but what often is not spoken about is the after-effects that occur both internally and externally.
For this episode of Money Magic, I speak with Casey Aksoy to discuss postpartum ailments and how to reconnect with your body after childbirth.
Casey is an embodiment and postpartum coach and founder of Postpartum Pussy Magic. Her mission is to reconnect the body in a sensual and sexual way by feeling whole and reclaiming your identity.
About 7 years ago, Casey found herself at a crossroads; she was depressed and felt unfulfilled in her life. She was jobless and feeling unworthy in her marriage because she wasn’t contributing financially.
Externally everything looked great, lavish vacations and 5-star hotels, but internally there was depression, disconnect from the body, and fear of an empty future with no purpose. The birth of her first son only amplified these feelings, but only in the dark did she find the light.
The birth of her son ignited her awakening. As she was healing from cesarean and postpartum preeclampsia, she accepted this moment as a turning point in her life.
Casey committed to injecting pleasure into her life, no matter how small. It began with simple embodiment exercises, like noticing your feet on the ground or embracing the sensations of a warm bath on your skin.
These first steps were the nudge she needed to begin to reconnect with her body. She was able to recognize the power she held when she wasn’t living only in her head.
Fast forward to now, Casey has made it her mission to help women of colour overcome their feelings of disconnect and have full embodiment through Postpartum Pussy Magic!

Episode 38: Let’s talk about money as a lover...
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
In this week’s #MoneyMagic podcast, I talk to Boitumelo (Tumi) Mofokeng to discuss how her relationship with money has changed since taking the Money Magic course. Tumi is a mother of two, with her most recent child being born in 2020, and on top of that, she is a rental property owner.
Before taking the course, Tumi's relationship with money was that of a distant lover, it would come, and just as quickly it would go.
She felt as if she constantly had to fight and prove that she deserved to have money while simultaneously focusing on just one aspect of money.
Tumi admits to only accepting money as a tangible item you work for, she would always be on the hunt for different and/or better jobs, but in the end, these jobs would result in the same pay with more responsibility.
Moreover, Tumi shares her anxiety whenever people ask her for money because it felt reminiscent of when her parents would lend their money only to be rewarded with betrayal and ungratefulness.
She shares the emotional shift she felt when she finally decided to love herself by setting boundaries and saying no.
She reinforced her love by sticking to those boundaries and choosing to respect herself. Tumi is no longer afraid of people rejecting her for saying no to lending money and admits that it now comes with ease, and as a result, money no longer feels like a distant lover - it now feels like close family.
If money was a lover, how would your relationship look like?

Episode 37: How ancestral money trauma stops us from making more money
Thursday Sep 23, 2021
Thursday Sep 23, 2021
Tapping into our ancestral money wisdom is easier said than done. In this episode of Money Magic, I talk about the first 2 meditations we do in the free 7 day Tapping into ancestral money wisdom training and talk about the insights and aha moments from that.
Observing your breathing and your body’s reaction when dealing with money can tell you a lot about your relationship with it.
In today’s episode, I respond to one of the women, in the training, whose breathing becomes heightened when getting cash, but not when receiving a deposit and what that physical response tells her about her ability to receive money.
Our money traumas are often tied to our childhood; they can stem from either watching money bring stress to our parent's lives or from never witnessing anyone in our family make a large income, which impacts our money set point and makes it difficult for us to open up to receiving more money.
To break the cycle is to break the vows made that prevent us from breaking through our money ceiling. From being scared of other people's disapproval to having survivors' guilt to even feeling responsible for everyone else as the main breadwinner, these scenarios are what keep us from getting to that next level.
Most of these behaviours are rooted in our vows of loyalty to our tribe - our family, friends and community.
Whether it is warranted or not, loyalty to our family makes it difficult for us to set up boundaries for ourselves.
So the real question is: how do we honour our past and our family whilst still being true to ourselves and giving ourselves permission to expand?

Episode 36: How to build a healthy relationship with your body
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Welcome back to another episode of Money Magic. This week we have a returning guest on the show, my friend and trainer Lungile, who is also a #MoneyMagic student.
Lungi is a fitness trainer who helps women reach their fitness goals using their feminine cycle, making her the perfect candidate to discuss today’s topics of body dysmorphia.
Body dysmorphia is a mental health disorder in which you can’t stop thinking about perceived “flaws” in your appearance. Generally, these thoughts are a result of past trauma and are only visible to you; the outside world sees nothing wrong.
Lungi’s journey into overcoming her internalized body trauma started as a young girl. Growing up, she had always received compliments on her body, but that was about the extent of her praise.
Instead of being viewed as a whole holistic person, she felt objectified and depersonalized, which she then internalized into pain.
As Lungile puts it, there are no coincidences in life. Though the seed of fitness was planted by trauma, a forest of fearlessness and confidence blossomed.
In the early years of her fitness journey, Lungile would approach it by two extremes of either intense dedication or no motivation at all.
It wasn’t until she began to fall in love with herself through womb-work that she fully embraced and had compassion for herself. With that came the confidence of not accepting anything less than what she deserved and cut disrespectful people out of her life.
Lungile’s final act as a reformed woman was her decision to shave her head. She defines this moment of sovereignty as letting go of things that no longer serve her and tortured her soul; this case is her hair. Where she stands now, Lungile is beyond elated of the progress she has made and the lives she has impacted.

Episode 35: Stepping into your divine feminine to build a successful business
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Welcome back to the Money Magic Podcast; this week I welcome John Griffith to the show to discuss his newly founded coaching business.
John and I have been friends for years, dating back from my time in Boston.
I have learned a lot from him about business, real estate, and through his Bigger Pockets Podcast recommendation.
John is also the reason I started the Property Magicians Podcast with my co-host Miranda Moloto.
Before pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams, John worked in the corporate world for many years and found himself to be very unhappy.
During this time, he was still practising yoga and meditating from time to time, yet he did not feel fulfilled.
By the time he decided to launch his coaching business, John had been practising yoga for over 20 years, and with this new business, his mission was to transform people’s life by teaching them to be healthy with their mind, body, and spirit.
Just a short four months later, John’s business was experiencing a meteoric rise to the point where he needed to hire additional coaches and is now working on buying a retreat center.
As John describes it, money to him holds an energetic frequency and can be broken down into two aspects. The first being that it is completely made up.
Money is simply a piece of paper, and it is only we who give it value. The second aspect is energy, and between the two, we must find harmony.
We have a collective understanding that we need it to survive, and we know it can be used to disentangle the trauma it has caused.
John brings up the correlation between faith and success. He shares an anecdote from when he was on vacation and prayed for more faith, as he felt it dwindle away.
When he returned, he was fired from his job, having just bought a home and a baby on the way.
Within the month, John got two job offers, one of which was something he was long searching for.
It was in the moment that he knew there’s was no way his faith could get tested if he did not experience the rug being pulled out from underneath him.
Once his faith was intact, abundance started to come. Although he admits to listening to voices of the toxic relationship we have with our brains, he never reacts or gives in to the fear it puts out!

Episode 33: How to reach your financial goals by unlocking ancestral money wisdom
Thursday Aug 26, 2021
Thursday Aug 26, 2021
In this week's episode, I share my story with you.
I came to do this work on money because I was extremely depressed and would have panic attacks whenever I had to deal with money.
I couldn’t look at my bank statement, invoice people, share my prices with people and I was US$60,000 in debt.
I got the Finance degree and then I got an MBA and still found myself struggling to pay for my basic life expenses and I felt deeply ashamed.
In fact, after my MBA, I went on to do a certificate in entrepreneurship and I thought - between that and my MBA I had enough to launch a business and create a consistent stream of income.
Long story short - I worked 16 hour days in my first business and I made $500, about R7500 income in 3 years. Yes - you got that right - in 3 years.
I thought there was something wrong with me.
The truth is, I wasn’t doing anything wrong - I just hadn’t understood that my ancestral, childhood, and past life trauma and other wounds were overriding all my positive thinking efforts.
No one had told me that it was possible to want something and not want it at the same time.
The adult part of me at that moment really wanted a consistent income in their business and to make money easily, but the parts of me that were still wounded and stuck in the trauma around money were trying to avoid money in an effort to survive and stay safe.
It was like driving with the accelerator and the brake at the same time - it’s also why we can set huge income goals and start to sabotage our chances of making that income.
