Episode 51: How to do difficult things
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
This week in the #MoneyMagic Podcast I talk to Lungile Ngubane, a fitness trainer and accountability partner. Lungi helps women achieve their fitness goals using their feminine cycle. Her mission is to create a safe space for all her clients based on their individual experiences to help them heal their emotional trauma and reach their goals.
The question, where are you and how are you feeling is not asked enough in the fitness space. This is because we tend to focus on the big numbers and how we can achieve them in a short time which makes training physically and emotionally draining. Different exercises do different work for us, and as women we respond differently to exercise every day. This is why we need to practice self-compassion. In this podcast we talk about giving ourselves five minutes of courage and what that means.
So many of us quit the gym and don’t like exercising because we think it’s difficult. Exercising is not difficult, but it will force you to go into your body and feel the things that are stored there, which can be uncomfortable. Working with our bodies can help us process pain from our trauma, which can help us heal.
Lungi also explains why there’s nothing wrong with getting emotional and that it’s a sign that something happened to you, and what happened to you is key in creating a safe space for healing and exercising.
This is a great episode to help you understand how to do difficult things.

This week I talked to Tabita Ntuli, a social worker and a specialist in community development. Tabita focuses on helping civil societies and communities in South Africa to navigate easy response and change. Tabita is passionate about society’s moral structures, the norms, the culture, and the state of affairs, especially when it comes to young women.
Money is power, and it lays the basis for negotiation. Money has the power to take you to places you want to go and become what you want to in life. It can also buy you respect that you have not earned and a seat at a table that you don’t deserve.
Doing the #MoneyMagic course has helped Tabita to understand, accept, and fix her impulsive buying habit, which she developed from a young age. The course has also changed her relationship with her money. This has enabled her to discuss financial matters with her family and open up about her expenses. Before the course, she was dishonest, but now she is happy with her wardrobe and at peace with her finances.

This week I talked to Lisa Kuzman, a leadership coach in the business space. Lisa works with coaches to teach them how to be trauma-sensitive. She also offers trauma-sensitive business and leadership coaching to business owners with a history of trauma. Lisa is a trauma survivor and former social worker and she has worked with different administrations which she says are the root of her passion for trauma coaching
When you have a very big emotional reaction to things that are out of context, that is a signal that you're probably experiencing trauma that you’re not aware of. You can’t prevent trauma triggers from occurring and it’s important to be aware and learn how your unique trauma presents and the unique needs you’ve in those moments. You can do some healing and it can shift your response but you’ve to attend to yourself with self-love and kindness in every situation.
Join the conversation with Lisa as she shares her trauma history, healing journey and how she got into trauma-sensitive coaching space. Healing from trauma was transformational for Lisa, it helped her to shift from not making money, working 60 hours a week, and the fear of raising her rate not to abandon people to making a sustainable living, embodying self-love, self-trust and self-confidence in a balanced way, being transparency about her traumas and attending to her needs with self-compassion.

Episode 48: The myth of overcharging
Friday Dec 31, 2021
Friday Dec 31, 2021
Last week on the Money Magic Podcast, I did a class on the fear of invoicing people and the fear of asking people to pay us. In this week’s podcast episode I am sharing a live class I did a while back on pricing in the #MoneyMagic student group.
Most times we’re scared to invoice people because we’re scared they won’t pay us because our prices are too high.
In this class I share why this is simple not true and why it’s not about the money.
Pricing is NOT the reason people don't buy; I have had people drop their jaws when they hear my price for my coaching and courses. To them it's too low.
And other people freak out that it's too high.
There’s a market for you, no matter what your pricing looks like. In fact there is a danger in under pricing.
Click play to listen.

Episode 47: Releasing the fear of invoicing and charging for our services
Friday Dec 24, 2021
Friday Dec 24, 2021
The fear of asking for money is a traumatic response from negative experiences with money. It can affect your behaviours around money, business revenue and your ability to negotiate for money.
Society has told us that it’s wrong to want money, and most of us undercharge our services because we fear being rejected and talking about money, which creates burnout at some point.
Pricing your services right will help you shift how you show up in a whole different way, which mean more to your clients and business. But how can you feel safe and at ease when pricing your products, sending invoices and asking for money, Join the conversation with your host Vangile Makwakwa as she shares a live class “tapping into ancestral money wisdom training” day four training on pricing.
To help you understand how money traumas affect your behaviours around pricing and how you can get over it and heal. Unlocking the ancestral wisdom has helped her pay off $60,000 in debts, buy properties and launch and grow her company Wealthy Money in a six-figure (US dollars) business as she travel and live in different countries all over the globe.

Notable Quotes
Pricing your services right will help you shift how you show for your clients.
The role of the mind is to keep us alive, and if it associates asking for money with danger, it could eventually lead to death.
The more you’re able to sustain yourself in what brings you fulfilment, the more you continue to do it.
Danger equals possible death.
When we force the mind to accept a reality we don’t believe in, it will fight us more.
Only you can know the truth of your situation.

In this week’s episode of the #MoneyMagic Podcast, I sit down to talk to my friend and accountability partner, Agnes Zausz, an Intimacy and Embodiment Coach, about her healing journey.
Agnes is curious, open, playful and believes in flirting with life; she weaves and dances with incorporating sensuality, embodiment, being present with everything that is around her.
She has worked as an entrepreneur since 2014 and has started businesses that thrived, events that were sold out, retreats that were deep and transformational and have worked with women all around the world, curated experiences that bring the teachings into life.
In this podcast, we talk about getting turned on by life - how to flirt and play with life and fully immerse yourself in all that you take on.
We talk about why healing is crucial to being fully present with life and enjoying the process.
Trauma blocks us and numbs us from feeling into our bodies and receiving, so in this podcast, Agnes also shares some simple exercises we can do in order to start receiving more from life/universe.
She explains that to her money means freedom, it means choice, it means impact, it means the ability to show up bigger and have more space to exist, taking in all that life has to offer.
It means generosity, it means the ability to breathe with ease knowing I am taken care of by an energy that is vibrating around us always.

Episode 43: How to find long-lasting joy and make money living your purpose
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
In this week’s episode of the #MoneyMagic podcast, I chat to one of my clients - Reinier Smit, who is originally from the Netherlands and is currently based there, after living in South Africa for 10 years.
Reinier worked in South Africa and Europe as a Script Supervisor and a Director, his true passion is telling stories with images, which is how he ended up in the film industry.
In the podcast, he shares how he changed his career and started focusing on his own projects and making decisions based on his own instincts and wishes. He currently has several film projects in cinema and is working on others.
Reinier explains that he sees money as a tool to express your creativity, make your dreams real in the world, whilst also supporting others to do the same.
He explains that this was not always the case - he used to have a negative relationship with money because he always saw the lack of money as a block to reaching his goals and he always made his decisions based on money.
He always thought he needed to have a lot of money to make certain decisions and start creating and making movies, which held him up for a long time. So his bank account was great, but he was still being controlled by money and wasn’t living his best life.
Through the coaching, he realized it was not either/or - he could make money doing what he loves. He didn’t have to choose and he realized that the way you look at money, is the way you look at yourself.
We chat about the complexity of making money and having money in your bank account but not living a life of purpose. We also explore themes of surrender and finding joy in everyday things.
This is another jam-packed episode where Reinier takes us through his realisations about money, creativity, intuition and living in your purpose.

Episode 42: Why it’s so hard to take action on financial goals we desire
Friday Nov 12, 2021
Friday Nov 12, 2021
In this week’s podcast, I do a class explaining why the best laid financial plans go horribly wrong and why we have a hard time taking action on our financial goals.
To make our goals a reality we have to take action and execute our strategy.
But why is it that you can have a clear strategy, be excited about it, not be able to execute on said strategy and even sabotage yourself in the process?
The answer to that lies in our sub-personalities, in particular, the wounded parts of us; when we set an income goal, these parts of us work against us and block our progress in an effort to keep us safe.
The adult you at this moment really wants to increase their income and pay off debt, but the parts of you that are still wounded and stuck in the trauma around money, are trying to avoid money in an effort to survive and stay safe.
It is like driving with the accelerator and the brake at the same time.
The wounded parts (ancestral, childhood, teens or past life) don’t feel safe or feel ashamed or guilty or like they are betraying their family when they make their desired income goal so they block it or they get rid of that money as soon as they make it - they start to sabotage us and work against us in an effort to stay safe.
On the surface, it seems like self-sabotage, but it’s just parts of us trying to keep us safe.
So even when we know what practical steps to take to make the goal a reality, like maybe sending an invoice to a client or posting a sales post on social media, we find ourselves procrastinating or delaying or freaking out, so a 5-minute action, becomes a 5 hour or 5-day action.
Now imagine what magic we can create when those parts of us feel safe, and start to use that same energy, not to block money but receive money and to support us to create a consistent stream of income?
This episode may shed a lot of light for you, click play below to listen to this episode.
The magic is in the healing.
