Episode 11: Changing our Relationship with Money by Focusing on Pleasure and Fun
Thursday Apr 08, 2021
Thursday Apr 08, 2021
In this week's #MoneyMagic series, I sit down to chat with Musa Mathole, who describes herself as a mom and a wife, but also a soul on a journey.
Musa is a treasury accountant by profession and started to realize that there was more to her money journey when her professional financial knowledge wasn't translating into her personal finances.
She found that she could manage millions at work and help the company invest and grow its money, but when it came to her finances, it was a challenge and the old ways of budgeting weren't working.
When she joined the Bank Account Challenge, she learned about budgeting differently - she learned the importance of spending according to your values.
And when she joined the #MoneyMagic course she learned about the importance of prioritising pleasure and how this was the key to changing our financial habits.
Of course, this is the opposite of what we've been taught about money, but she shares how as she healed and allowed herself to have fun with money, her relationship with money changed, to the point where she hasn't worked in over a year and yet her family financials haven't been affected.
Musa also shared how she and her husband are teaching their children how to invest in shares so that they know there are other ways to make money and build wealth. And how she's been using some of the course meditations with her children.
This is such an insightful episode on money and imparting our values around money to our children.

In today's episode of the #MoneyMagic series, we talk to Wisani Khethiwe Shibambu about her journey to launching her first business and breaking cycles of debt.
Wisani is a Money Magic student, but she's also Wealthy Money's virtual assistant and is responsible for the administration and technical support in the company.
She shares how she spent 3 years teaching English in Japan (and even speaks some Japanese) and then decided to come home and figure out what she wanted to do next.
Coming home was tougher than she thought and she struggled to find employment. She then decided to use the skills she learned in Japan and her corporate experience, to create employment for herself.
She followed her soul and after a few months launched her virtual assistant business and got clients in a short space of time. Wealthy Money actually became a client during Covid!
I got to chat about how she got herself out of the cycle of credit card debt, the challenge of entrepreneurship, paying herself first and how money is actually a tool to expansion and discovering our own divinity.

Episode 9: Making Space to Charge Clients & Allowing Money to Flow In
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
In today's episode of the #MoneyMagic series, I talk to Mpume Ncube-Daka, a Change Coach who helps people make career changes.
In this conversation, Mpume shared that she started realizing that her money story was about more than just money when she found herself in a pattern of paying off debt and then recreating it and even though she was okay and could pay off the debt, she just felt tired, like she knew there was more and she wanted better for herself.
We had a really interesting conversation about how things in our lives may be okay but part of us knows we are destined for more and yet we talk ourselves out of going in quest of the more.
Instead, we keep putting things off to the day we have more money and we normalize not having enough money and the anxiety that comes with that.
Mpume shared her journey on how she struggled to charge clients for her services because she felt she didn't have enough money, so she projected this belief onto other people and it made it difficult for her to charge for her services.
She shares with us how she started to shift this belief of "not enough money" and how it became easier for her to charge for her services.

Episode 8: Creating 2 Extra Streams of Income in 2 Months With Ease
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
I'm often asked if I coach men or if there are any men in my courses - the answer to both questions is yes.
We have men in the #MoneyMagic course, most of them are silent and will comment sporadically but every so often I will receive an email from one of them thanking me for the course and sharing how their finances have radically improved.
We do, however, have a very active man in the student group, his name is Khanya Ngonyama, and he openly shares his insights and even his emotions from the meditations, so I decided it would be great to sit down and talk to him about his money journey.
Khanya is a water and environmental engineer and a real estate investor (we featured him on episode 26 of the Property Magicians Podcast).
In the interview, Khanya shares how he is a big reader and always went after knowledge and would apply that practical knowledge to his money journey but he struggled to get the results he wanted.
As he started working on money trauma, he was able to start changing his view of money and hard work and since joining the course 2 and a half months ago, he has managed to pay off his credit card debt and personal loan and also create 2 new streams of income.

Episode 7: Using the Womb to Manifest Your Desires
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Last week on this blog, I shared how womb healing is a part of the #MoneyMagic course and how we have 2 teachers that facilitate this healing process for us.
This week I sat down and spoke to our other womb teacher, Phuthanang Motsielwa about her journey in healing the womb and using the womb to manifest her desires and how she now helps us heal our wombs.
In this interview, Phuthanang shared how her womb journey started when she was diagnosed with fibroids and the doctor told her this was normal and that she would have a hard time falling pregnant.
After her surgery, she went on a journey to heal her womb and she realized that whilst fibroids were common, they were not normal.
It's not normal for us to have fibroids and there was a deeper issue than just biology.
She started to learn about the power of the womb when it comes to manifesting our lives and how the womb requires us to constantly birth things, not just babies.
When we stop ourselves from honouring our souls and just let our dreams gestate for long periods of time, without following through and giving birth to them, our womb energy is affected and eventually, our health is affected.
In this episode, we go really deep into ease, manifestation, and the womb and how important it is for us to listen to our soul callings and nudges.
You are in for another mind-blowing episode and lots of aha moments.

Episode 6: The Link Between the Womb, Ancestral Trauma and Money
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
One of the things we focus on healing in the #MoneyMagic course is the womb because the womb plays a big role in helping us manifest our dreams and goals.
So in this week's episode of the #MoneyMagic series, I invited Polite Matjila, who is a human physiologist by profession but has since left that to go into manufacturing and agriculture to come to talk to us about the work she does with us in the #MoneyMagic course.
Although Polite is a student in the course, she's been using her background in physiology, to teach us about the workings of the womb and our cycle and how that all ties the money and manifestation.
In this episode, we go really deep into ancestral trauma in the womb and how it all links to the Divine. You are in for an amazing treat and lots of aha moments.

Episode 5: Learning to Create a Consistent Monthly Income as an Artist or Freelancer
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
My first company was called Speak 2B Free, and the purpose of the company was to promote spoken word poets and help them make an income from their craft.
I was trying to teach artists to make money, whilst I was struggling to make money and manage money, so of course - the company failed.
I ran that company for 4 years and managed to make US$500 revenue, in the entire 4 years 😭
Deep down a part of me believed that artists couldn't make money or a living, luckily a lot of my beliefs have changed them.
And not only that, I get to hold space for artists and freelancers and I get to see what's truly possible for people when they heal their money trauma.
In this week's episode of the #MoneyMagic series, I sat down with Toni Stuart, a professional poet, healer and Money Magic student to ask her about her money journey.
In the interview, Toni explains how she had to change the way she sees herself as an artist, and start seeing herself as a business owner.
She also had to change the way she was charging for services so that she no longer exchanged dollars/rands for time.
She sat down and used the goal setting worksheet in the course to create 5-year income projections, get clear on her personal and business expenses, separate her business and personal account and start saving towards her big life goals.
She shares how she had to start building a business that allowed her to charge based on value and not time and how she is now creating extra streams of income and has launched a membership site that will allow her to make a steady stream of income every month and start investing.
If you're a freelancer, artist or start-up entrepreneur, who feels lost about creating a steady income stream, then this episode will definitely inspire you.

Episode 4: How Healing Ancestral Trauma Affects our Frequency of Money
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
This week has been full of tears for me - I'm working through some old old childhood and past life beliefs about myself. It's probably ancestral beliefs as well. All I know is this ish is painful 😭😭😭
Speaking of ancestral beliefs, in this week's episode of the #MoneyMagic series, I sat down with my sister, Honey, who is a sangoma (shaman) and a Money Magic student to ask why she decided to do the course and what she has learned about money and trauma.
And wow, please prepare to be blown away because she started talking about how she once spent £50,000 (R1 million) in one month at one point in her life and what she has learned about money frequency and what our spirit of money actually tells us about our money frequency and how to best earn money 👀.
She broke down the link between self-care, ancestors and money for us and explained how when we take care of ourselves, holistically, and make sure we look and feel good, we are actually taking care of our ancestors' DNA. Our ancestors get all excited to see how they are being honoured and they come to the party in full glory and magic starts to happen.
And this is why, for Honey, self-care is healing and healing is holistic; and includes yoga, healing our own trauma from childhood and spa treatments.
This is another mind-blowing episode and you'll see why I love partnering with Honey to do things.

Episode 3: How to Build Yourself up Financially, after Rock Bottom
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
Saturday Mar 27, 2021
I am so excited to bring you the next instalment of the #MoneyMagic series where I talk to one of the students about her journey on losing everything and having to rebuild yourself.
In this week's episode, I talk to Thusani Mulaudzi, an author, International Relations practitioner and consultant, about her money journey and how she was able to rise from the ashes.
She shares her journey on how she was always able to manifest at the drop of a hat, then got married and her manifesting abilities went downhill and she started losing money and eventually got divorced before "the ink on her marriage certificate was dry.
We spoke about the link between womb energy, sex and money and what she learned in her remarriage about this and honestly, it's worth watching the video just for this part of the conversation.
She then did the inner work to change her life and explains how she used the lessons in the Money Magic course to launch a consulting company and land her first client, start investing, increase her savings and pay off debt.

As I mentioned last week, I am recording a #MoneyMagic series, all about money and the Money Magic course and this week my guest is Senzekile Msomi.
In this episode, Senzekile gets very vulnerable and shares how she learned from childhood that having money makes you a target for people and basically makes you unsafe and how this belief that it's not safe to have money, kept her in survival mode.
She was able to buy a house and a car by the time she was 25, but as she kept working, she found it hard to go beyond survival and found herself making just enough to survive.
She shares with us her journey on how she was able to use the Money Magic course to feeling safe with money and the lessons she used to start saving, always have money in her account until payday, double her bond repayments and buy land in Mpumalanga.
