In this episode of the Money Magic podcast, Vangile Makwakwa is focuses on understanding the Sweet One Money Archetype. The Sweet One is empathetic and generous, often putting others' needs before their own. While this makes them caring and compassionate people, it can also lead to financial challenges like debt due to overgiving and struggles with setting boundaries.
In this episode Vangile emphasizes the importance of addressing the "not good enough" wound to improve financial behaviour. This involves self-compassion and self-validation instead of seeking external approval.
Vangile also explores the challenges Sweet Ones face in pricing their services and seeking salary increases due to fear of judgment and conflict.
This discomfort with charging often translates to the Sweet One giving their services away for free or undercharging drastically, which, while temporarily preserving relationships, ultimately leads to financial stress.
The Sweet One may even experience guilt for wanting fair compensation (that’s a vow of service), perceiving it as selfish or out of alignment with their identity as a giver.
Vangile also does an EFT Tapping session on pricing and salary anxiety.
This is another insightful episode.
